Hi! My name is Damon and I started quilting in the summer of 2025 after taking a beginners quilt making class with my wife, Kinsey. I was hooked from the start! I enjoy the piecing and watching the quilt come together. I decided to create this blog to share my love of quilting and my progress as time goes on. Oh, the blog name, Cricket Quilts! My first cat Cricket (although my wife’s cat, Tink, would argue she’s my first cat) really likes to get up in your personal space while you are working on anything. While piecing a quilt, he decided to jump up and sit at the sewing machine and see what quilting was all about! That also happened to be the day I decided to start this blog and I thought the name couldn’t be more perfect.
